Salad bars

Your menus are great. Wish there was a salad bar near me that offered more than tomatoes, pickles and carrots.

Everyday I walk or jog with my pup, General Tsao and if I just walk him for 30 minutes thats burning 145 calories. Every little bit counts!

Yesterday I did intervals of brisk walking & jogging for about 30 minutes. When you implement interval walking, you boost your metabolism so you burn more fat than when you keep your walking or jogging to a consistent pace. You can also get more of a workout because even during the recovery periods between more intense walking, you’re still moving and burning calories. 
If I am power-walking for 30 minutes, every five minutes I pick up the pace and jog for two to five minutes. This will help burn more calories and develop lean muscle mass.

Pizzucchini -220 calories per zucchini boat

Large zucchini, halved lengthwise
Lean ground turkey
1/4 cup onion, diced
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1 cup pasta or pizza sauce
2 tbsp parmesan, grated
1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
2 tbsp basil

Preheat oven 400 degrees. Coat 13x9 baking dish with cooking spray. Cook ground turkey, onion, garlic powder, pepper & basil in a skillet over med-high heat until groubd turkey is brown. Make the zucchini boats while the turkey cooks by scooping out the seeds with a spoon. Place them in the baking dish. Once turkey is brown, add sauce and parmesan. Stir & simmer for 5 minutes. Spoon mixture into the zucchini boats, sprinkle with cheese & then bake for 10-12 minutes. TADA! Healthy & delish!

1 can crushed tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes, with basil & oregano
3/4 cup celery, chopped
3/4 cup carrots, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup skim milk
1/2 tsp dried basil
1 cup parmesan
Pepper

Throw everything, but the milk, basil, and parmesan, in a large pot & cook on medium high for 30 minutes covered. Then turn down to low and simmer for 15 more minutes or until soup is thickened. Turn off heat and add milk, parmesan and basil.
